Schaum Music School Staff Members

Wesley Schaum
Director

Nationally known composer, editor, publisher and clinician, Wesley Schaum has written, arranged and edited over 200 books and sheet music publications for piano and keyboard teaching. He has presented hundreds of workshops to teacher groups across the United States.

President of Schaum Publications, Inc., he is editor and contributor to the nationally circulated "Music Notes" newsletter which reveals his insights into all phases of teaching, musicianship and music technology.

Mr. Schaum is an honors graduate of Northwestern University where he earned Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in piano performance. He presently accompanies his church choir on piano and organ.

Jeff Schaum
Brass Instruments, Electric Bass

Teacher, arranger and editor, Jeff Schaum has contributed to over 50 books and sheet music pieces published by Belwin and Schaum Publications. He has given workshops at national teachers' conferences as Vice President of Schaum Publications. He created and recorded orchestrated accompaniment CDs for many Schaum piano books.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Music degree from Arizona State University. He has performed with the Champaign-Urbana Symphony and Sinfonia da Camera and has coached instrumental music students at high schools in Illinois, Arizona, South Carolina and Wisconsin. As the father of two young boys, he understands the challenges of teaching piano to students in today's world.

John Revezoulis
Piano, Theory, Composition

Mr. Revezoulis has been a teacher of piano at the Schaum Music School for over 30 years. He has studied music at UW-Milwaukee, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and the University of Southern California. Included in his studies are classical piano, jazz piano, composition, arranging and film scoring. He has published many titles of music for piano teaching and had made a CD recording of some of his compositions. Mr. Revezoulis has also composed a sacred choral work and music for the theater. He has developed a unique sound and style in his arrangements, performing in Milwaukee area supper clubs, private parties and weddings.

David Biel
Piano, Keyboards, Jazz Improvisation,
Synthesizer, Computer Music

Mr. Biel is an honors graduate from UW-Milwaukee with a B.F.A. Degree and knowledge of both classical and jazz piano styles. His specialty is improvising, drawing on his experience as a keyboardist for two Top 40 bands. As a composer, Mr. Biel recently produced a CD of his original music composed on the synthesizer. Audio samples can be found on his website, www.bielworks.com. One of his published pieces, "Runaround Rock" was honored with inclusion in the National Federation of Music Clubs competition list. Mr. Biel recently completed a 4-year study of piano pedagogy locally with Ms. N. Jane Tan and Seymour Bernstein. He has been a full time instructor at Schaum Music School for over 15 years.

Jeredythe Meyer
Piano, Music Theory

Mrs. Meyer began her musical education at the age of five and concertized at an early age. At fifteen, in addition to her piano studies, Jeredythe began voice lessons with prominent vocal teachers in New York City, learning both the lieder and operatic repertoire. She attended the Juilliard School of Music and has appeared in recitals in England as well as the United States. Mrs. Meyer has taught at Montessori schools, including the New World Montessori School in Fox Point and, before returning to Wisconsin, the Rainey School of the Arts in Cleveland Ohio. She has been a private piano and voice teacher for more than thirty years and has been associated with the Schaum Music School as a teacher of piano for the past decade.

Olga Volodarskaya
Piano, Music Theory, Accompanying

Ms. Volodarskaya is a native of Moscow, Russia. She has studied music since her early childhood. She graduated from the Moscow Pedagogical State University with the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor's degree majoring in music education performance. She worked as a piano teacher and general music teacher in Moscow schools for over ten years. She also has accompanied ballet, dance studio and choral groups, as well as instrumental and vocal soloists.

In the United States, Ms. Volodarskaya has given private piano and music theory lessons and performed with various instrumental groups and vocal soloists in the Milwaukee area. She now works in the Shorewood Middle and High Schools as an accompanist and assistant choral director.
